About the album

Finnish pianist Iiro Rantala is one of the few artists who are equally at home in jazz and classical music. And he is not only one of the most versatile pianists but also one of the most prolific composers in his field - from catchy piano songs to full operas like recently his "Zaubermelodika" for the Komische Oper Berlin. All these elements come together in "Veneziana", Rantala's musical homage to the city of Venice together with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
