"To me, the greatest pleasure of writing is not what it's about, but the music the words make." - Truman Capote

Linntett

Linntett is a Nuremberg based Jazz sextet with a unique instrumentation. The band introduces the sound possibilities of a rhythm section combined with the energy of three saxophones to the listener. The compositions of Kira Linn, baritone saxophone player and leader of the band, emphasize the versatility of the band. Big band like saxophone tuttis with Nino Wenger on Alto and Christopher Kunz on Tenorsaxophone are followed by contrapuntal melodies and tricky rhythmical grooves. Kira likes to use her baritone saxophone for different purposes: sometimes she plays the leading melody part, sometimes an accompanying bass line or she uses its soft, dark sound as a soloing instrument. The band is completed with Victor Mang on double bass, Johannes Koch on Drums and Lukas Großmann on Piano. The dynamic, exciting and diverse sound experience on this debut album of Kira Linn and her Linntett will take you on a journey through the diversity of nature.
