Ronan Kernoa

Ronan Kernoa at the Conservatoire National de Région de Rouen obtained first prizes in cello and chamber music with unanimity and congratulations of the jury. He went on to specialize in the historical string instruments during internships at Claire Giardelli and Jaap ter Linden. After his studies in Paris with Philippe Fakir (17th arr.), he was admitted in the class of Alain Gervreau at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he obtained a Master baroque cello. He currently studies viola da gamba at Thomas Baeté and Wieland Kuijken.
He is regularly invited as a continuo player to participate in productions of several Belgian and foreign ensembles such as La Petite Bande, Bach Concentus, Les Muffatti, Les Agremens, Il Gardellino, Il Fondamento, Anima Eterna, Le Parlement de Musique, Akademia ... led by, among others, Jos Van Immerseel, Marcel Ponseele, Peter Venkataraman, Gabriel Garrido, Barthold and Sigiswald Kuijken ... With these ensembles he made several recordings for Sony Classical, Vivarte, K 617, Ricercar, Accent, Avanti Classic, Challenge Records.
